REAL TALK:

I pivoted my life and changed my mind so many times I can’t even keep count. But with every decision I made, I learned and I grew from it.

a 25 year old, introverted extrovert from Toronto, Ontario.

I'm a huge self-love and self-care advocate, I take mental health seriously. I'm always down to go on spontaneous adventures and working on DIY projects in my free time.

I'm Sammy,

You can find me sipping an iced matcha latte, daydreaming about my next vacation or working on my next project.

My business was created because of a neglected childhood dream of mine.

I had always been an explorative artist. I loved painting, drawing, singing, dancing, crafting, filming...the list could go on. The artistic side of me was what I enjoyed most throughout my younger years.

However, ultimately when it came to choosing my career path post high school graduation, I decided to pursue Early Childhood Education and not the Arts for the "stability".

Like most 18-year-olds,

After flying for a little over 3 years,

In 2021,

we were never prepared for reality. 18 year old Sammy dropped out of that ECE program just in the first semester. At that time, I felt ashamed because none of my friends were like this, until a year or two later they also followed suit.

I was lost and confused and decided to take a leap of faith and pursue inflight. Forced to continue the path of pursuing post-secondary education, I applied to a Flight Services program and got in. This program prepared me very well to be a flight attendant- something I would never imagined shy and reserved Sammy would ever do.

I am extremely

After dropping out,

I was temporarily laid off in 2020 due to the global  pandemic. During that time, I decided to start my beauty business, The Blushing Diary. I started with learning lash extensions and then eventually transitioned to offering lash lifts, brow lamination and ombre powder brows.

I started to crave more flexibility and a routine in my life. I was having a hard time balancing flying full time and keeping my personal care service business afloat. After several months travelling back and forth, and many days of working back-to-back, I made the decision to close my beauty business to start this new chapter into web design.

ecstatic to be embarking on this new journey and I can't wait to share my creations, ideas and all the ups & downs! Connect with me on Instagram @cheriecreativestudio.

My journey...

2016

I was 18 and I dropped out of my four-year ECE program in the middle of 1st semester. I knew I wanted a life that wasn't tied to a fixed schedule.

2018

2021

Realizing I no longer wanted to be working all the time and trading my time for money, I started my web design journey. Traveling and design are my true passions.

2020

My very first business, The Blushing Diary was born during the start of a lockdown. I was laid off from flying for 6 months and kept myself busy. We started offering lash extensions and then branched off into lash lifts, brow lamination and ombre powder brows.

I graduated from Flight Services: Cabin and Operations from Seneca College. I finally quit my job as an assistant manager at Cinnabon after getting my golden ticket offer of training as a flight attendant-only 2 months after graduation.

I created my very own website for my first business. I enjoyed the entire process of it, even when it took me over a month to design and launch. Designing is my pride and joy- I am constantly looking for ways to improve.

I had no prior knowledge to web design until I decided put my 110% into Chérie Creative Studio. I noticed there was huge gap in businesses having outdated websites or not one at all. Realizing that, my passion stems a lot from loving online design and the urge to help others create a website they are confident about. A website is a huge asset to your business, not only is it something you should be proud of, but should also be repping your brand authentically.
